PIGEON SIGHTING: AUGUST ALSINA

A big shout out goes to August Alsina for rocking the Staple Wilde Camo Hoodie while on the Angie Martinez show. For those who don't know, August Alsina is a 20 year old R&B singer from  New Orleans, Louisiana. Growing up in a troublesome home he overcame what many people could not to make his dream comes true. From two fathers battling crack and alcohol addiction, to his best friend being shot in the streets of Houston, Alsina has lived through the trials and tribulations and didn't bounce backwards, but bounced back, and stronger than ever. Now signed to Def Jam, he has the opportunity to go back to those streets and help children who were in his position only 5 years ago. A Positive Social Contagion is what we stand for, and August Alsina is someone who is providing just that for those who are willing to listen. Check out his music here.
